It's a good blog and pretty funny! Thought the comparisons between the scotch egg and mars bar and the energy balls were not entirely fair though. I'm not at all in favour of clean eating (like, I just ate a vegan ice cream with chocolate sauce on, and enjoyed all of it) but I'm bothered by similarly unqualified food writers trying to tell us that a mars bar is better for you than something made of dates...

I think his argument is that all sugar is treated the same in your body, whether it comes from dates or from processed sugar. This is true. In his defence he does not suggest that a mars bar is better for us, he is simply pointing out that the so called "healthy" product is actually higher in sugar ;-)
